    The Pictures Are Done!

We just got all of our engagement photos!  Big thanks to our wonderful photographer Kelli and her assistant, Jeff’s friend, Cory.  Jeff and Cory went to BYU together, and Cory introduced Jeff to Kelli about two years ago. It was really fun to work with a great photographer who is also a friend. It definitely made the shoot more fun and it loosened Jeff up a bit. You’ll see what I mean…

I don’t want to spoil the photo you’ll see in the mail, and Kelli already created a teaser blog post about the session, so here are some photos you haven’t seen yet (and may never see again…)!

This next one is great…  This is when Kelli told us to “look serious”.  Jeff took the “look mad” approach, and I am either sad or indifferent…

After Kelli stopped laughing at our faces, she snapped our reaction as well:

“Groundhog Day”, anyone? So fitting since it’s his favorite movie.

Hopefully you enjoy these!  We’ll post a few more in the photo gallery once we’ve had a chance to pick out some more of our favorites.  Let us know what you think!!!  *comments comments comments*

    The Announcements are Coming!

Our wedding announcements have been printed and are on their to Texas – in fact, they should be arriving at my apartment today!!

Hayley and I decided to go with a letterpress printer for the wedding announcements that will include RSVP cards and other inserts, and they look pretty fabulous.  Our printer sent us some teaser pictures (after only the first of two colors had printed) that I’ll share with the rest of you..  Kind of fun, right?

We should be getting pictures back from our wonderful photographer soon, and then we’ll worrying about getting everything put together and out the door!

    Hometown Shower

The Coles, the Watkins, and my sweet bridesmaids (aka my sisters) sure know how to throw a party! While I was home for Christmas, these ladies threw a bridal shower for me. Carly and Whitney found these invitations which inspire the pairs theme. Aren’t they darling?

The night of the shower, there was a giant snowstorm in Utah. I was really afraid that the guests would stay home because of the weather, but we had a better turn-out than I had thought would come even without the snow! Thanks everyone who donned their snow boots and parkas to get here! I’d also like to thank Brent who spent the whole two hours outside shoveling, and re-shoveling, the walk.

The hostesses worked hard at creating delicious treats–that’s a salad with walnuts, blue cheese and craisins; some quiche; and the best cookies ever.  The cookies are chocolate, and when you bite in, you’ll find a soft peanut butter center.

Thanks for the shower; I had such a fun time!
